The Winnipeg "Team" Appreciation Thread.

This was needed.. You guys barely posted anything about this while I was gone.

What do you guys think the name will be?

Will Andrew Ladd be re-signed?

What will they look for in the draft?

Honestly, even though I live nowhere near Winnipeg, I'm exited.
I hope they're called the Jets, I really do. I don't think it'd be the same if they were anything different. People already know them as the Jets.

I think Ladd should be re-signed. He came just short of sixty points last season, and he seems like a consistent player.


I see them taking a power-forward, and a goalie [later] in the draft. With that being said, if Dougie Hamilton on Niagara is there at the 7 pick, I'd take him. He's a good two-way defenseman, and could defiantly help out the back end for them. If he's not there, but fellow Niagara Ice Dog, Ryan Strome is there, I'd take him. He's a great power-forward with a huge offensive tool-box, and he's always trying to get control of the puck. He could defiantly help out Evander Kane.

If we can get Bogosian back, we don't need a D. Hopefully we can retain Bogosian, I really like our rotation there.
But in the order I want, I want Strome, Zibanejad, then Bartschi.
Of course, if Huberdeau or Landeskog, but that's highly unlikely.

Well, I'm thinking it's gonna be:

Jets

Andrew Ladd will be re-signed.

Strome needs to be the pick I think.



I'm fucking so excited for Burmistrov, that kid is insanely talented.

I like Hamilton but, if I were a fan, I think I'd rather have Strome.

I'm pumped for Burmistrov too. And Little, he's good too, and young. They are both centers though, and so is Strome.

Yeah, I do.
I think Strome is going to be taken at 6 though.
And then we have to choose between Zibanejad and Hamilton, if Hamilton's there.

Burmistrov is going to be a talented kid for us. He's gonna take a little bit of time to mature and progress to his full maximum potential though. I'd say 2-3 more years for him to really light it up in the NHL.

He's got so much speed. He was ahead of Taylor Hall I believe in the skating competition the year of their draft class.

You guys have Bogosian? Shit, I remember watching him on Peterborough. He's a good two-way player.

Take it from someone who knows, you can never have enough center depth lol

Also, I love Mika and would love to see him go to Winnipeg as well. I think Strome will fall to 7 though

Hell yeah.

Bogosian is more of your classic NHL defender, though. Like I know he isn't going to light up the score sheet, but he's going to lead and be a force keeping pucks away from the goaltender. He's a monster.
