NFL.com - The Seahawks have fired first-year offensive coordinator Jeremy Bates, according to a league source.

Bates, who completed his eighth season as an NFL assistant, directed a unit that finished 28th in the NFL in yards per game (297.8) and 23rd in points per game (19.4).
Seattle isn't playing i guess.

SMH, like they had the players to have a good offense.

Getting to the playoffs isn't good enough for a 1st year coordinator. You're supposed to miss your 1st year, and improve after. They already saw his best stuff and reached that roof.

In all seriousness, It's good for him to get fired so he can go and have the chance to coach somewhere where the team has good players on offense.

I don't like this move by the Seahawks whatsoever. Not at all, I don't like it. Is all I can say is, I'd LOVE to have Bates as the Bengals offensive coordinator. He's MUCH better than the current so called offensive coordinator that we have.
