Maybe bias but I say Brad Penny. He was dominant against the Phillies and he's back in the NL where he's a beast

both have been pretty hot lately with their new teams but Penny's stats from last year make me think that his stint with the Sox wasn't really a fluke so I have to go with Smoltz on this

kind of odd how they played so bad with the Red Sox yet they are playing so good with thier new teams

I voted for Penny based on the fact that he already has a good understanding of the NL West, due to the fact that he pitched for the Dodgers. He knows more of the hitters tendencies in the West imo.
