Would you take Vinny Lecvlav for for maybe 1 or 2 years at $5-7 per?

So Dreger was reporting that the Leafs are shopping Gardiner for a number one centre. Reportedly they have been talking with the Oilers.

If their idea of a number one center is Gagner, I would lose it.

Tanguay is on his way back to Colorado. I have always viewed him as a solid NHLer, just feels like he is always on the move.

Pierre LeBrun        ✔ @Real_ESPNLeBrun

Hearing that Letang camp informed Penguins earlier tonight that they were turning down an 8-year contract offer worth around $56 million...

10:00 PM - 27 Jun 2013

Can't see him getting a larger contract than that from the Penguins especially with Neal, Crosby, Malkin, and MAF under contract.

Bob McKenzie        ✔ @TSNBobMcKenzie

Only players on buyout waivers today are Kaberle (MTL), Olesz and Montador (both CHI).

12:06 PM - 27 Jun 2013

Looks like Hossa is staying

Kris Letang's agent Kent Hughes on reports their preferred destination is TOR: "We haven't discussed the Toronto Maple Leafs. Period...

8:16 AM - 27 Jun 2013

Honestly the more I think about, the less I become a fan. We already have too many offensive defencemen, we need a shutdown D. Plus Rielly projects to be a similar player to Letang, so whats the point of giving up an arm and a leg.

Dreger is reporting that Perron could be being shopped. However, take what Dreger says with a grain of salt.

He would be a good 2nd/3rd liner but he's never been consistent enough. As for Gardiner, who do you consider an available "#1" center?

No one. There's no need to acquire a center for the sake of acquiring one.

We'd be overpaying for Gagner by giving up Gardiner unless something else came back.

I wouldn't be opposed to signing Lecavalier for a year or two.

Yeah, I was actually going to counter whoever you said w/Lecavalier because you won't have to commit long term (forget what he says) or give up assets. They have the cap space.

We have a few RFA's to resign this off season. No one that will get $4 mil+.

The only concern is resigning Phaneuf and Kessel next offseason. So signing Lecavalier at something like 2 years and a cap hit of $5 million would be okay.

I think I want Vinny in Detroit to center the 2nd line and let Zetts play with Datsyuk.

A potential line of Zetts-Pavel-Nyquist excites the hell out of me.

Barring some offensive renaissance, would Phaneuf even get much of a raise?

No, he should be making less.

He'll probably take a hometown discount at like 6.

I swear to God the Sabres better buyout Leino. What a fucking schmuck. Darcy Regier said he doesn't plan to use either of the buyouts, though.

The team is a fucking wreck. Hopefully we just stack up some top 3 picks over the next few years.

God it would be hilarious to see Holmgren make that move

Not buying out Leino would be beyond stupid. The guy is a classic example of having your bet season during his contract year.

No , he isn't worth more then 3.5M per year ! maximum 4M but even then ... One thing you know about Vinny is that he always wanted to play in MTL so that's good at least

Apparently the Bruins have Seguin's name in play on the trade market. I'd be pissed, but I'd like to see what trades are being discussed.
