Will he get traded? If so, where do you think and if he doesnt get traded, do you think he stays in OKC or signs with someone else, and who?

I think he'll stay the whole season with OKC and will sign with some team we're not really considering yet. Like with Durant.

Spurs or Rockets or some shit.

OKC would be wise to trade him. There's ZERO chance he stays with them past this season. I dont know why he would choose the Rockets. It seems like he will pull a Durant and go to the Spurs or the Clips to make the MEGA team. Don't get me wrong, he would make the Rockets a contender, but he would make those teams even favorites with GSW/Cavs...It seems like everyone wants an easy ring these days.

Why not stay tho? I could see it just bc hes finally the man and leader just like he always wanted. If thunder signed blake, that'd be awesome

Not sure if Spurs are the type of franchise to sign russ, but with duncan gone maybe everything changes.....still think theyd go after someone like cp3 before russ

Clippers yea, i could see that just cuz hes from LA and blake and deandre would already be there if blake re signed so that be a dope squad

Clippers would have to renounce JJ Redick (and obviously Chris Paul) if Westbrook was to go to play with Blake and Dre. I'm not sure he wants to play on a team where Austin Rivers is the fourth best player

I'd love for him to stay, but it would just go in the face of the going trend for superstars on the open market. They either want rings or the big market. OKC can promise neither.

Moneywise, Westbrook stands to make the most money by a re-negotiation and extension on his contract with the Thunder if he wants to stay with the Thunder. He has to do this before the regular season starts (might technically be even sooner than that too).

So if he wants to stay in OKC, he'll extend before the season starts. If not, I'd expect them to trade him -- with before the season making the most sense but with a possibility of a mid-season trade. And remember -- it's not just what team has the best package to offer, because it won't be offered in the deal if Westbrook doesn't want to stay. Like Denver could want to offer Jokic, Mudiay, and Jamal Murray and OKC could want to take it, but if Westbrook doesn't want to play in Denver than the deal won't go down. He doesn't have a NTC, but he essentially does with his upcoming UFA status.

I don't think it's unheard of if he stays. He can be the man and have the team built around him. We know that Presti is about making moves, and he attempted to do that this summer to entice Durant to stay.
