Six weeks before the college football season kicks off in full, Alabama is the consensus favorite to win the national championship. But the Crimson Tide are not the most popular bet in Las Vegas.
More bets have been placed on the Michigan Wolverines to win the national title than any other team at multiple Las Vegas sportsbooks. The Wolverines' championship odds have moved from 15-1 to 7-1, making them the second favorites behind Alabama at the Westgate SuperBook.

What a joke. Anybody betting on the Wolverines is throwing their money away. Sure, they have one of the most ridiculously weak OOC schedules in all of College Football this year, but they lost every big game they were in last season and took double overtime to beat Indiana. They will have a new QB at the helm, so there's uncertainty there. They have to play Mich. St., Iowa, and OSU on the road. There is a ZERO percent chance that they run that gauntlet. Then if they do somehow win the Big 10, they will have to play a real SEC team, and not a free-falling QB-less Florida in the CFP to win it all. Heaven help them if they get matched up with Clemson (who is my pick to win it all this year).

People. Please save your money, or better yet donate it to a charity of your choice. It will be better spent there than betting on the Wolverines to win it all.

I'd peg them to win at least 1 National Championship in the next 5 years, but not this year. Still too early although I was very impressed with how much of a turnaround they had after just one year of Harbaugh

They may only win the Big 10 once in the next 5 years

It's basically Bammer vs the field every year now, but  Michigan has as good a chance as anyone to make it to the CFP.  I don't think they're ready to actually beat a team like Bammer or OSU just yet, but they should have one of, if not the best defense in college football next season.  QB play is going to be what does them in

Summed it up well. If we get a lot better QB play than we expected I see no reason we can't get to the CFP lol.
I mean we didn't know what we had last year and Harbaugh ended up taking Rudock from a MEH prospect, to getting drafted. The guy is a QB guru.

Jedd Fisch deserves a lot of credit for that.
Sure does. He's an excellent QB coach. The progression Rudock made as the season went on was outstanding.

Whatever happened to Shane Morris?  Just a bust?
So it seems yeah. Just don't think he's nearly as talented as he was projected to be. Went to a school real close to my house, so I was always pulling for him too.

I saw that they had O'Korn vying for starting QB. He played here at Univ. of Houston for a minute the year that UH went through like 5 QB's in one season. He was accurate on the short passes, but lacked the deep ball....I wish Michigan the best of luck, but I just want to see them win a big game before I start to really believe.

Understandable. Harbaugh definitely just brings a lot of hype due to his presence, which is certainly why a lot are betting on us.
