DeAndre Hopkins went to Clemson, not Baylor

Does Werner fit the 3-4?

Has Keke's stock raised that much?
He's a guy who fits the personel more than the selection

The Jags are switching to the LEO defense, the one Seattle ran last year. It almost takes Werner off the board for them, because he does not fit that line well.

The guys the Jags are looking at are Mingo, Star, Moore, and Sheldon.

Star is the 3 gap DT, and would go to JAC only because he's the BAP. They have Alualu and Terrence still, so I don't love the pick of Lotulelei, although he could play the DE spot.

That DE spot (opposing the LEO spot) is Richardson. He would play DE, the same role Red Bryant played in for the Seahawks. He could also rotate in to DT, but he fits that DE spot better than anyone in the Draft. I believe the Jags end up trading down so they can take Richardson, but in a trade w/out mocks, I won't pick him

And that leaves Mingo and Moore for the LEO position. I don't love Damontre as a LEO; he's far better as a prototypical 4-3 DE, and I'm not sure he will be as successful as a LEO. Mingo is the perfect LEO for his size and speed that he has. That's why he goes #2 to JAC

Does Werner fit the 3-4?
He's definitely better suited for the 4-3, but he can play 3-4 JACK quite well. He's a pass rusher, and in the JACK position, he will be. Also, I heard that while they will play 3-4 base, they will run some hybrid defenses and play some 4-3 too, so Bjoern will play RDE there.

The problem is, Moore doesn’t fit in the defense if Bradley runs what he ran in Seattle. He’s a traditional 4-3 end and they don’t really use that. If you’re drafting him to be a LEO, he’s not going to be as good at it as Mingo. Werner fits in the role lining up in the wide-9, but again he’s not nearly as athletic or explosive as Mingo is. So really you’re forcing yourself to take a lesser player (athleticism/speed/explosive-wise) just because.

The Giants are probably going to take a OT or LB 1st round. (Hopefully)

I'd be fine with Alec Ogletree. Need to upgrade the linebackers. Rey M must go. Lawson can go, too.

lol nola you're ridiculous

you're switching to the 3-4, and have NOBODY to run the NT position because Ellis is a FA. Sharrif is RISING up boards, and might even go Top 10. They aren't drafting a corner; the value isn't there. And there isnt a rush OLB either, unless you want to reach a round early for Alex Okafor.

Floyd is the right pick. Plus he can play NT, unlike Richardson

Neither Floyd nor Ellis are NT's. I was actually referring to Floyd as a 34 DE makes zero sense.

Floyd's best fit in any defense would be as a one-gap player. I guess it depends on which version of the 34 the Saints use. I can't see him ever being an effective 2-gap defender.

I can see him playing A gap, even though he is definitely more effective as a 1 tech
