With all of our draft talk & mocks...I am surprised we don't have one of these threads earlier.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

First news of my day is Taylor Mays. Mays had such a great pro day that scouts are now moving him up their boards fast. Mays is definitely creeping in on Eric Berry's aura & all the comparison to Troy Polamalu might even get Mays into the top 10, leaving Berry to drop.

I highly doubt Mays is going to cause Eric Berry to drop. Pro Day or not - watch the tape, he misses tackles in the open field, he can't make the interception when it's needed and Eric Berry can.

I completely agree with Dan Patrick on pro days. They are so overrated. I would take game tape over their performance is shorts.

No kidding. It's all scripted and they are told what passes to make, etc. Especially for QB's, I mean, it's impressive when a guy completes all or almost all of his passes - but even still.

Looks like we're gonna be taking Eric Berry or Earl Thomas. Can't say I'd be disappointed with either.

How about that guy Tim Tebow? Some experts say he might be drafted first round.

If Berry is there, yeah, you will.
I hope he is available, him with Wright and Brown in the secondary would be awesome. But it would be pretty funny to get Earl Thomas round 1 then Colt McCoy round 2 lmao

Yeah, the funny thing is, that would not be a bad draft for the future at all. :p Taking all three of those guys for the Browns, not a problem at all.

If only they could resurrect Paul Brown and Otto Graham.

According to Lions beat writer Tom Kowalski, the team appears to be moving "closer and closer" to drafting a defensive tackle at No. 2 overall.
Assuming they can't trade the pick, which some observers have called "the hot rumor of late." Ndamukong Suh appears to be the likely choice, as his superior all-around game could help Detroit's run-stopping woes in addition to upgrading the pass rush. Gerald McCoy is more of a pure penetrator.

I think the only way we don't take him is if we somehow trade the pick. It's pretty much a lock.

But if they drafted Suh, all of Detroit would absolutely party, no lie lol.
