Me and everyone else in the stadium were PISSED he didn't come back out. We saw Bruce getting ready to pinch hit and started chanting "We Want David", which then turned in to 'We Want Jake" which ended up becoming "Fire Mickey", hahah.

Still glad I got to see him once and it was probably his best start of the season.
I can understand that, but the post-game interview showed that he was at least on board with the decision.  He may not have liked it, but he was OK with it.

It's frustrating to me as a fan because most of us were there that night for him. Didnt even get s real standing ovation, which he deserved.

And on Friday they said he was pitching Wednesday instead of Thursday because they wanted to leave the possibility of him pitching a few innings on Sunday.

But after the game Callaway said he never considered sending him back out for the 9th because of his workload all season.

Well if that's the case why were they ever considering pitching him on short rest for the last game of the season?

Just doesnt make a ton of sense. I know I'm nitpicking, hah

And as for what Jake said after the game, that's always who he's been. Humble and doesn't ruffle any feathers. He will never throw a teammate or manager under the bus.

Kinda weird they chose to use their own logo instead of, idk, a picture of David Wright.

But a nice gesture nonetheless.

Can't wait for the Tigers to fuck up the Brewers' shot at the division and fuck up their own draft position. Gonna be a great weekend.

Keeping a running log. Should we consider this optimism or pessimism?

idk haha I'm rooting for losses for draft position but I also kinda wanna fuck over the Brewers. Conflicting position. I'm also enjoying watching my team play in game that actually matters for the first time all season haha

Knocking the Red Sox out of the playoffs in 2011 is one of my favorite memories as an Orioles fan. But thats also a rival obviously

Feels like that happens pretty often, where a bad team screws someone out of the playoffs. Like the Braves did it to the Tigers in '16, I think it happened to the Padres one year, and everything that happened in 2011 of course.

I've fully embraced the wild card game

Only thing I can say about the dodgers is they love Miller Park

But Rich Hill might be iffy vs those guys. And my God, Cain and Yelich freaking murdered us this year

Brewers should kick our ass tbh

If the Cubs make it, fuck the Cubs I hope we win lol

And the Rockies aren't good guys. They're just hot right now. Theyre gonna get annhiliated by the braves, especially at Coors

Y'all are beating a 65 win team that has no interest in winning. Congrats. The trophy is in the mail. Should look nice alongside all of your other hardware.

But the offensive stats lean heavily towards Yelich. It's not like they're close in that aspect.

Totally agree

Baez has more homers(34) than walks(28) and has a .324 on-base

But hes been the media's darling since the 2016 playoffs

Ive never thought of him as a mvp candidate, but hes always mentioned

Last week rosenthal said he was leaning baez
