Rasheed Wallace will reportedly come out of retirement to play for the Boston Celtics, according to Stephen A. Smith of SI.com.

Smith says that Wallace made it known to him that he wants another shot at the Lakers in the NBA Finals, and that the Celtics will use him to add "brute size" to Miami's athleticism.

Perkins
Garnett
S. O'Neal
J. O'Neal
Davis
Erden
Harangody

Despite a claim by Stephen A. Smith to the contrary, Rasheed Wallace has no plans to come out of retirement and re-join the Celtics.

"I don't think that's the case -- for now anyway," Wallace's agent, Bill Strickland told FanHouse.

"He has a period of time to where he may be thinking about it, but he has not given me any indication of his intent to return. ... He's still saying that for now he's good, that he's OK where he is."

Wallace still lives in the Boston area, but the Celtics have the league-maximum of 15 players under guaranteed contracts.

"I'm here to tell you that Rasheed Wallace will come out of retirement once the (Feb. 24) trading deadlines expires in all likelihood, because he wants another shot at the Lakers," Smith said on The Dan Patrick Show.

saying it when the teams/players are negotiating isn't really "calling it" lol

Not many thought LeBron was going to go the Heat. A lot of people predicted Chicago.

CC's right
everyone either laughed at Stephen A, or kept calling him names for calling that.

Dang. I was hoping he would come back so I could see how many games he can get kicked out of.

I like this guy, constantly arguing with the refs, entertaining at times lol. Hopefully he comes back.

That would be great to see him back. Especially for the fans and himself but I don't see it necessary for the Celtics. Yea.. it's another 6 fouls to take on a body but he would rarely play and if he wants to play in the NBA again, he should try and join a team that really needs him.. because right now the Celtics already have a lot of experienced and good big men such as Shaq, Kevin Garnett, Jermaine O'neal, Kendrick Perkins who is coming back soon hopefully, and then the rookie who is hard for me to spell his family name lol
