The Celtics reportedly offered Rajon Rondo and Ray Allen to the Pistons for Rodney Stuckey, Richard Hamilton and Tayshaun Prince.

League sources told Yahoo! Sports of the deal, which reportedly never made it past lower level executives as Detroit rejected the offer immediately.

The offer was made this past weekend.
Wow.

Adding Tayshaun Prince is what made the Pistons so against this trade, if the Celtics threw in a 1st rounder or maybe a Big Baby along with this trade it might have a better chance of going down

Don't trade Rondo! I'd rather have Rondo, Allen, Pierce, Garnett, Perkins

Not:

Stuckey, Hamilton, Pierce, Garnett, Perkins

6 man: Prince

Agreed. Rondo is good, young player with a lotta potential but Ray Allen is definitely getting up there. I don't see how the Celtics offered the Pistons a 'mega deal'...

So glad this isn`t happeneing. It wouldn`t make sense on either side. Rondo was Bostons best player in the playoffs last year, and Stuck is one of our cores that we are rebuilding around. I wouldn`t be suprised if Rip ended up going somewhere else though. Would be suprised if Tay did.

Probably, I know I did when I saw it. Well, it was more like a "WTF" reaction that turned into a "Yeah Right"

Yeah, your giving up two scorers for one. Rondo, who knows? Would he even fit Detroit's style of play?

When my dad mention this earlier im like they still shoppin' rondo? Def. horrible for both teams but if I was Detroit I'd do it anyway lol cause they get Rondo and could probably still afford BG.

This isn't a horrible deal for Boston, they win it easily.
