Rotten Egg SI: I heard they decided to cut him when he led the team out of the locker room before the last preseason game. Rumor has it that he dropped from a full sprint into his Tebow genuflection and tripped everybody.

It's too bad, I really wanted him to make it back into the NFL. What I find bothersome is when the Tebow fanbase instantly became Eagles fans when they signed him, when he got cut, these same "fans" went into a bitchfest, saying the Eagles made a mistake, the fans said "I hope they suck" blah, blah, blah. My take on this: it sucks but that's the sporting business. Don't have to like it, just accept it and move on.

This actually surprised me. I thought they would at least give him some time during the season, before he was cut. Especially after they traded away Barkley, and it brought them down to three QB's, but I guess they felt it would've been a wasted roster spot. Chip Kelly would seem to be one of the better ones to handle a Tebow, having him line up at a WR, or FB and see how that went for some plays, but maybe he didn't want to do that. He's always been adament about being a QB.

Didn't he do alright in the preseason? I thought Barkley getting traded was a sign he was about to make the team. Oh well

Every TD pass I saw was a ball he shouldn't have thrown that got caught by pure luck and the fact that eventual cuts were in coverage. Seriously, at least two of his TD passes would have been automatic picks against real NFL DBs.
