The Wizards have fired head coach Eddie Jordan, according to a report by the Washington Post on Monday morning.

Ed Tapscott, who had carried the title of Director of Player Development but traveled with the team and essentially served as an extra assistant coach, will take over coaching duties.

The Wizards have opened the season with a 1-10 record.

Didn't they just resign him last season to a big deal too?

They still have 2 All Stars besides Gilbert, so they shouldnt be THIS bad.

It's not all Eddie Jordan's fault though.

You can't play this bad of play all on the coach. Same with PJ and the Thunder.

Gilbert is the heart and soul of that team. Granted Butler and Jameson are All-Stars...but what else does Washington have after that? You need roleplayers, you need guys that can produce off the bench, and you need depth. The Celtics wouldn't be so damn good with their 3 if they didn't have who they had playing around them.

Seen this coming for a while now, but obviously the injury to Arenas is why they're struggling. Still though, they were a playoff team last year without Gilbert for most of the year, there's no excuse for being THIS bad.

This was long overdue for the Wizards. This team has no business starting pathetically flat as they are now. Too much talent for this excuse.

Figures a day after they fire him they beat GS by 24.

Blatche finally came off the bench and played good... 25pts, 12rebs, 5 assists, 2 stls, 5blks. Then again, it's GS.
