Not sure where to put this as the Lounge says it's for non-sports talk and the NFL area is the only football thread. This seemed right.

Wish us luck tonight. My Eagles are fighting for the District Title tonight.

East Lake (6-1) and Countryside (8-0) have been looking forward to tonight as well. Both have floated blissfully above the county’s parity tumult as they square off to see which team will be crowned champion in Class 5A, District 8.

In the county’s biggest game, Countryside has won 17 of its past 18 regular-season games, including a victory over East Lake last year that clinched the district title.

This year, the Cougars are on track to become the first team in school history to finish the regular season undefeated. To do that, they will have to get past an Eagles team that also is on a roll.

East Lake has won six straight since a season-opening loss to St. Petersburg and 13 of their last 14.

We've really worked our buts off this season to take the District Title for the first time since 2006 and good things are coming for the program. Countryside has been the monster in the county for the last few years and lost in the Florida semi-finals to none other than Plant(as seen on ESPN) who eventually won it all. We're a young group(8 of 11 starters on offense are not Seniors) and a stingy defense.

Here are a few recruits that will have college coaches in the stands tonight:

East Lake
Pete Dinovo - Sophmore quarterback on FSU watch list. Top award getter at FSU skills camp.
Tyler Lane - Junior Runningback who's gaining popularity around the state
Tyler Higbee - Senior Receiver likely headed to Colorado State
Artavious Scott - Freshman Receiver with 6 total touchdowns. Lightning fast.
Logan Williamson - Senior Guard who is the Counties second highest Offensive Lineman recruit
Darian Woodard - Sophmore Saftey with D1 athleticism
Cameron Mitchell - Senior Kicker who is 4th best in the state

Gray Crow - Junior quarterback who's 6'3 225 pounds and an athletic gem. Long line of D1 Quarterbacks including his brother to Stanford and Harrison Beck to Nebraska in the last 6 years.
Adam Vinson - Junior Linebacker with wheels and built like former Pinellas LB Daquel Jackson.
Terry Johnson - Junior Runningback/Linebacker with D1 written all over him.
Alex Dixon - Senior Cornerback heavily recruited by FSU

And Tyler Moore - http://insider.espn....ug_=tyler-moore

This will be a big game for many of these kids early football career. Thought I would share.
