I think they'd prefer Porter from what I've heard, but he could be gone. And if I were the Mavs i'd really want Bamba too.

probably going to be my last "mock" bc tbh i dont care that much about this draft, not even close to other year's. It's very 2013 for me (where Oladipo was my #1 guy, and is about where I have Doncic ranked in terms of general value). these are mostly just hunch feelings, take them as you will

1. PHX - C Ayton
2. SAC - SF Doncic
3. ATL - C Bamba
4. MEM - PF Jackson
5. DAL - SF Porter
6. ORL - PG Young
7. CHI - PF Bagley
8. CLE - PG Sexton
9. NYK - SF Knox

?eh?

Why do you still have Marvin so low
Because his game isn't suited for today's NBA imo

He's a defensive negative no matter how you spin it -- he's got a small wingspan for a big (7'0.5") and has a very slender body, limiting his effectiveness to be physical down low (on offense and defense)

He's absolutely a rim runner and doesn't have an bad shot in catch-and-shoot situations. But he's not going to be able to bully defenders down low if he's playing center, or shoot well enough if playing the four against any small ball team.

He's a zone defender, 5th option, which for me is not worth a top 5 pick. But again, I've been saying this whole time I don't really see any star talent. Almost every body is a role player, except Ayton, Doncic, and maybe Bamba. I wouldn't think about building a team around Bagley, or JJJ either, even though I like Jackson's defense like I liked Bender's

He's just a wrong era guy imo. He's like Tristan Thompson with a jump shot -- that's not worth a top pick

Tristan Thompson with a jump shot is almost worse than Lonzo Ball to Jimmer Fredette

Its a mock though. The point is to predict what you think is going to happen, not say what you think teams should do. Nobody has him going that low that Ive seen.

Is Amare a good Bagley comp?

I've heard almost everyone say Bosh, which makes sense as far as body types, but play style seems closer to Amare.

Sounds about right, from what I've heard his long range game isn't near Bosh's.

Id say hes ahead of where Bosh was coming into the league, but Bosh obviously became a reliable three point shooter toward the end of his career.

Bagley weighed more at the combine than Amare did in 2002. Are you assuming Bagley will not put on any weight for the rest of his career?

I'll throw out my mock

1. PHX - Ayton
2. SAC - Doncic
3. ATL - Jackson (I hope its Bamba though)
4. MEM - Bagley
5. DAL - Bamba
6. ORL - Porter
7. CHI - Carter
8. CLE - Sexton
9. NYK - Mikal Bridges
10. PHI - Knox
11. CHA - Young
12. LAC - Miles Bridges
13. LAC - Robert Williams
14. DEN - Shai Alexander

Eh, not sure about Young slipping that far. Probably will go 6-8 but wanted to switch it up. Porter could go #5, not sure if teams are scared of his injuries or not.
