Joe Carter will probably disagree, but I've long thought that Kirby Puckett's home run in Game 6 of the 1991 World Series ranks as history's most underrated.

I mean, it came in the 11th inning, forced a Game 7 his team would win, was tagged with Jack Buck's fantastic "And we'll see you tomorrow night!" call and punctuated a dominating performance on the night from Puckett — 3-for-4 with a homer, triple, 3 RBIs and the great robbery of Ron Gant in the third inning.

What more could you want?

Well, if you said Puckett calling that walkoff blast, you're getting that, too, because old Twins hitting coach Terry Crowley — who's lucky he's still in baseball — now says that No. 34 predicted his feat before heading to the plate to face Charlie Leibrandt.

From the Pioneer Press:

Just before Puckett went to bat against Charlie Leibrandt, he told Crowley he was about to end the game with a home run.

"Puckett told me, 'Crow, if they leave Leibrandt in there, this game is over,' " Crowley said. "That's the God's honest truth. That's fact, and that happened. If you listen (to the tape), he gives me a hug and says,

'Crow, I told you.' And I said, 'Yeah, you did.'"

It's another cool wrinkle to Puckett's defining moment, though I'd say it's completely unnecessary in validating its greatness. However, if it helps vault Puckett's homer into the same breath as Fisk's shot in '75, Crowley's revelation will rank as an excellent one.

He looked so unathletic and yet he was came through in the clutch. Talk about one of the most underrated moments in World Series history...... RIP Mr. Puckett.
