wow....Thomas and Hopkins....they didnt give up much, so whatevs. I was not in favor of spending much more than that because i dont think that DT really pushes them past the Patriots or Chiefs. He does however solidify them within the division, so the move could be worth it for that alone.

Didn't Fuller tear his ACL? They had to go replace him.

He did tear his ACL. There was talk of the Broncos wanting a 1st round pick for Thomas. I was not in favor of that. Even with Thomas, the Texans are at best maybe the 4th best AFC team (depending on how you feel about the Chargers). I dont think he makes us a better team as much as the fact that he adds quality depth to the position. I guess a 4th is worth that, although the Texans have done pretty well for themselves with their 4th-7th round draft picks over the last decade or so. I hate to give up much for a rental.

I think the Texans have to go for it. There's a lot of buzz these days about teams needing to go all-in while they have a QB on a rookie contract, and the Texans are obviously in that position. You never know how things around you are going to break down.

I don't mind them going for it. I think the AFC is more wide open then most people though.

Oh it's definitely wide open. There's 5 teams that I think have a legit chance of winning it.

while obviously you meant this year i assume, i was talking about it earlier today at work... houston needs to go sign Leveon for next year. lamar miller is likely to be dumped anyways due to cap savings, and with Hopkins, fuller, and leveon with Deshaun they have an extremely dynamic offense.

and with that, it lets your pass rushers attack more aggressively with leads, and they have 3 outstanding pass rushers. but getting leveon makes them a legit contender

Leveon in Houston behind their O-Line would be a disaster. he is a patient guy who waits for his hole and then explodes through it. the Texans line is easily one of the worst 5 in the league. The Steelers line is easily one of the 5 best in the league. It wouldnt be a great fit IMO.

On top of that, the Texans have a some key guys who will be FA's this year they need to lock up like Clowney, Kareem Jackson, and Honey Badger. Then they need to do something big in FA to address that O-Line...

Leveon Bell needs to be very careful about who he signs with....He's a great back, but the Texans would be a tough place for him to succeed IMO
