With the free agent frenzy that the NBA saw over the last week or so, it got me wondering what that would look like in the NFL.

If a guy like Cam Newton or JJ Watt somehow found a way to reach the open market, how absurd would their contract be after the apocalyptic bidding war among the other 31 teams came to a conclusion?

I'd be curious to see how high contacts could get in the NFL if there was no salary cap.

Wouldn't surprise me one bit if they got higher than baseball contracts. NFL owners make so much money.

I think JJ Watt would be the biggest FA. A lot of teams are set at QB, there isn't a team in the league that wouldn't benefit greatly from adding Watt to their defense
