I was surprised where I put him, too, but there was very little consistently poor QB play in 2015 aside from the obvious guys like Kaep, Tannehill, and Foles.

Also, I may tweak my list after some more thought (this thread was very spur of the moment). Guys like Carr might move up. Guys like Brees might move down (though not drastically).

I mean, I've always hated Cousins for reasons I can't even recall, but he posted the 5th or 6th highest completion percentage in NFL history in his first year as a starter.  He's got to crack the top 20, right?

Let's slow down for a minute here. Drew is somewhere around the top 5.

Well he's obviously got the stats, but he's 37 and obviously not at the peak of his powers. I'd rather take my chances with those other guys going forward.

Even at 37 he is still one of the smartest and most accurate passers the NFL currently has. Is anticipation and instincts are still top not. If this was about who you would take for the next five years I would agree with you, but can you honestly say if you needed a quarterback for a game tomorrow you would take Joe Flacco over Drew? Eli? Tony Romo?

If Tony comes close to his 2014 play, that's a no brainer.

A no brainer? Let's not be dramatic.

And 2014 Romoncould have very well been an anomaly. He's never even somewhat approached that at any other time.

He's always been great. A couple of late he failures is all people seem to think about.

I've been on the Romo bandwagon as long as anyone, but Tony Romo isn't the QB we saw in 2014. He's not that good.

Actually going into the 2014 season he was the highest rated QB of all time so....

Maybe I'm missing a point here but I can name a few guys with higher QBR's for their careers going into 2014. Anyway, my point is the same, how can you say "if he plays like 2014 Tony Romo" when he's never even approached that level of play at any other point in his career? The chances of him having another season like that are slim to none.

Going into the 2014 season no one had a higher quarterback rating.  So I am not sure why you keep bringing up the 2014 season when I am talking about career numbers at the point going into the 2014 season.

That's exactly what I'm talking about. Like I said, I can think of two guys without doing any research who had higher QBR's going into the 2014 season than Tony.
