Tigers Sign Fielder

Prince Fielder, who hit baseballs out of Tiger Stadium as a 12-year-old, is on his way back to Detroit, where his father, Cecil Fielder, starred for seven years. The Tigers have agreed to sign the free agent first baseman to a nine-year, $214MM contract, Jon Heyman of CBSSports.com reports on Twitter. Fielder will play first base and Miguel Cabrera will change roles, Heyman adds.

I didn't see who, but I knew Prince would get 200M no matter what team signed him.

Miggy changing roles to WHAT, I wonder? He's a fat, drunk what the hell is he going to do other than DH? LF? LOL.

The only positive out of this for me is that Prince Fielder, Johnny Peralta and Miguel Cabrera will make up the worst defensive infield in the MLB. Other then that, I'm awaiting the Indians response of signing a minor league free agent.

Major league contracts are fully guaranteed. He'll have clauses in his contract, but they will only add to the 214 mill or whatever he's getting.
