Does ANYBODY understand college football's targeting rule?

This is a question that needs to be asked because I've yet to see a legitimate targeting call with the exception of people targeting PSU's fatass kicker for some reason. Otherwise every call and subsequent ejection and following first half suspension is controversial, to say the least.

I hate this fucking rule. What do the rest of you think?

It's always hard to judge intent. They're doing their best to try and make the game safer and I'm fine with it. The fact that it automatically goes to replay also helps. I've definitely seen some bad calls though.

The reason I hate it is missing part of the next game. That part is ridiculous. And intent is not provable. The rule should not exist. Leave ejections up to the officials

I'm fine with a 15 yard personal fall, but ejection is dumb. 1st half suspension if it happens in the 2nd half is even dumber.

I can't remember ever agreeing with a targeting call except for the one hit I already mentioned
