Dodgers slaughtering the Brew Crew today, FML. Rockies just have to keep pace for right now. This is going to be a very interesting trade deadline. Expect a lot of arms to move.

I love when NL fans complain about the DH

Man sign me up

I really hope it comes to the NL really soon. I don't want to wait 5+ years

I actually like the idea of pitchers hitting. It's more traditional rules.

The DH will come to the NL by 2020. Read not long ago that Tony Clark already has the Player's Union doing their homework. And if you think about it, why wouldn't the MLBPA want it? Pitchers don't get paid any more because they can bunt or hit, but there's a ton of big bats that are limited to the AL b/c they cannot field for shit.

I agree
Baseball should be like that

But since the DH already exists, it's dumb to have two separate leagues operate with different rules

l also like to see complete players -- those that can pitch and hit, but how can one justify having a nearly guaranteed out in the batting order with so many decent bats waiting in AAA?

Toffey is batting. 244 in high A at 24, Wahl is 26. May be a decent middle reliever, but hes had thoracic surgery. I'm not expecting much out of either player tbh.
At least they got something for Familia.

It's high time the DH was either in both leagues or neither.  This split rule keeps giving the NL advantages in IL play and it needs to stop.

The AL actually won more IL games in 2016 and 2017.

I saw the Orioles play a game in Minneapolis a while back and it looked like Machado was just going through the motions, rather than playing his hardest.  He appeared to be trying to avoid injuring himself.  By the way, Lance Lynn looked really good for the Twins that night and Bundy looked really bad for the Orioles, which prompted me to suggest that the team had quit on Buck Showalter.

" Sources from rival teams interested in Familia told The Athletics Jim Bowden (subscription required) that they didnt know why the Mets didnt approach them one final time to give them a chance to top Oaklands offer."

Look, the general consensus is the Mets got a subpar return for Familia. That quote annoys me even more now.
