Shooting Guards

5. Bonzi Wells (Sr. Ball State)

Bonzi Wells is coming off of a very successful career in the MAC.  Bonzi has acquired three first team All-MAC awards, two MAC Player of the Years, and a third team All-American award.  Wells holds the MAC career records in points and steals with 2,485 and 347.  He has posted some unbelievable numbers over his career for the Cardinals with 21.4 ppg, 7.3 rpg, 3.3 apg, and 3.0 spg.  His senior year he lead the nation in steals averaging an unbelievable 3.6 per contest.

4. Cuttino Mobley (R-Sr. Rhode Island)

Cat Mobley is coming off of a successful campaign of leading his Rams to the Elite Eight and being the A-10 Player of the Year.  Mobley has scored in double figures all four seasons while playing at Rhode Island and finishing his senior year scoring 17.2 ppg.  Mobley has become known for his three point shooting by shooting over 40% in his senior campaign.

3. Larry Hughes (Fr, St. Louis U)

Hughes is declaring for the NBA draft after only one season for the Billikens. As a freshman he was able to become a first team All C-USA member as well as Freshman or the Year in the C-USA.  Hughes put up 20.9 ppg while getting to the rim often.  He gets himself to the free throw line a lot due to his ability to get to the rim, getting there over eight times per game making him have the fourth most attempts in the NCAA.

2. Ricky Davis (Fr. Iowa)

Davis is a young player with loads of potential.  He averaged 15 ppg, 4.8 rpg, and 2.4 apg in just his freshman season for the Hawkeyes.  Davis is an unbelievable freak athlete and which ever team decides to call his name on draft day is going to give their fans plenty of entertainment watching this kid soar through the air.

1. Vince Carter (Jr. UNC)

Another kid who can absolutely soar through the air.  During his Sophomore and Junior seasons he helped lead the Tarheels  to consecutive Final Four Appearances and ACC Championships.  In his past season he was able to get on the second All-American team.  Not only is he able to get to the rim, but he also shot over 40% from the three in his final year for the Tarheels while averaging 15.6 ppg.  We should all expect to see this kid in dunk contests for years to come.  A lot of rumors are already circulating that the Utah Jazz are looking to pair him with his cousin Tracy McGrady.  Nothing is for certain, but don't be shocked when you hear Jazz GM Tyfreak calling his name on draft night.
