It's finally here. If you want to kick-start your young player's development, send him to the G-League! Here's how it works:

UPDATE (07/21/2019): Create a thread in this forum, similar to the one you have in the Position Changes sub-forum. Every sim, you can put up to three players in the G-League. Only one of the slots can be occupied by a former first round pick; the other two slots must be occupied by a player who was either undrafted or a second round pick. These players must all be on your IR for the sim, and if they aren't, they won't get credit for being in the G-League that week. You cannot put a player in the G-League back-to-back sims. Every time you place a player in the G-League, you must specify what attribute you want to work on for that sim (see the league shop for list of attributes).

For every ten FBB days a player spends in the G-League, the player will earn a minimum of one rating point in that attribute, and will have a 25% chance of earning a second point. There is no longer a cap on how many total points a player can earn per season, but there is however a 5 point cap on how many points a player can earn per attribute. You cannot list a backup attribute. They will also have an independent 20% chance of getting a +1 Potential boost every ten days as well (these potential points do not count towards the 5 point limit). All bonuses will be calculated randomly in a computer program, and they'll be made transparent to the GM.

UPDATE (04/05/2019): Players now have a 5% chance of receiving a second +1 Potential boost.

Ineligible Players: (updated 11/25/2019)

This list is always going to be subject to change, but here is what makes a player ineligible:

All Players:

1) If the player is projected to be in your team's projected rotation (top two slots on the CPU depth chart), he is ineligible.
2) If the player has four or more years of experience, he is ineligible.
3) If the player is 25 years old (or older), he is ineligible.
4) If the player has ever been camped, he is ineligible. This includes potential camps.
5) If the player is injured, he is ineligible.

Rookie Specific:

6) If the player was drafted in the lottery, he is ineligible.
7) If the player was drafted in the first round and is 23 years old (or older), he is ineligible.

1-2 Year Veteran:

8) If the player is on a non-rookie contract that is not a minimum, he is ineligible.
9) If the player played 20 MPG or more last season on your team, he is ineligible.
  • Exceptions will be made on a case-by-case basis for players who played 20 MPG or more on a different team
10) If the player was named to either All-Rookie team as a rookie, he is ineligible.

3 Year Veteran (AS OF 11/25/2019):

11) If the player is not on a minimum contract, he is ineligible.
12) See rules 9 and 10 for 1-2 year veterans.

I withhold the right to reject any 1-3 year veteran.

The G-League ends on Day 100. Please note that all players in the G-League still must play 20 or more games in order to qualify for Sharing is Caring. You cannot camp G-League players in the same season they were in the G-League. They are subject to the same attribute caps as regular camps.

Once again, these rules are subject to change at any time.
