My bad, I incorrectly looked at WAR the last two seasons. He has had over 6 WAR in 2015 and 2016 but has not performed as well last year and this year. Currently Crawford has more WAR this year which is pathetic when you consider the market is high for Machado.

Honestly, I hope Machado goes to New York. I hope they waste their prospects on him and resign him to a lucrative deal because he'll be the laughing stalk of the Yankees in two years. He'll be like the Crawford deal we made a few years back.

He changed position and is terrible defensively. He should be playing third

That was the one year whereoffense won the postseason. Not the case every other year.

Point is though, one player doesn't make a team.

Dodgers, Brewers and Yankees are already good. All are going to the playoffs

Adding Machado just enhances their chances at going to the WS

Royals added Zobrist and won the WS, also added Cueto

Cubs added Chapman, Indians added Miller

Astros added Verlander and Dodgers added Darvish. Both helped get them there and I don't believe they get there without both guys
