Was a week from being back and then must have seen that Cody Kessler was gonna be his starting QB so he went back to the bottle

Great PR 101 stunt bro. This dude is unreal. Probably knew he was gonna bomb a drug test coming up and didn't want that as the headline, but now he looks like a white (black) knight by entering himself into rehab. You don't need rehab for fucking weed dude, just grow the fuck up and do your job.

As a selfish football fan, it sucks that I likely won't get to enjoy watching this guy in his prime.

Hopefully he gets his life together.

Pretty low risk, high reward situation for whoever gets him. Sign him to the bare minimum with no guaranteed money and everything tied into staying on the field/not failing tests. Upside is still enormous with him... He looked like an animal in the preseason.

Yea, I don't understand the logic of releasing him. They've held on for this long, and it's not as if you have to pay him during the suspension. Might as well keep going.

There's a ton of logic to releasing him

He smokes weed and drinks alcohol. It's not like they would be employing a woman beater. All the negative PR gets thrown on Josh himself.

He is not dependable, so they should be operating under the assumption he wont be playing, but they should definitely hold onto his rights if he did get his act together, or if they eventually stop their rediculous drug policy.

He breaks league rules would be a much better first sentence. Guy is a loser, but the Browns are the Browns because of personnel decisions they have made.

What's even more ridiculous than the leagues drug policy is how Gordon has handled himself since he entered the league. Weak minded and a stupid person.
