I am pissed that Tyron can't workout today. I was looking forward to seeing him.

Danny Watkins looks like he could be a good guard. Has good hips, footwork, can bend.. However he'll be 27 this year.

Can't wait for the combine tomorrow. Locker, Kaep, Mallett could all really boost stockage.

Combine isn't that important for QBs... I'm not interested in seeing them try and bench press their RBs, we've seen their arms already what else matters about their strength? Only like 3 QBs can prove anything running the 40, and any passing drills don't show anything because anyone can throw in shorts to open targets with no pressure.

If you watched the skills competition thing for the senior QBs you would know that is extremely false...

Mechanics dude. These spread QB's need to show how much they've improved, which can also show how much more they can improve, or if they've been lazy. I personally don't care about the release, but footwork and stuff like that is important.

And, it does matter. Look how much Newtons stock jumped to top 3 after his little workout..it's no coincidence he jumped like he did that week.

Newton's stock was going to go up with time. The media needs someone to latch on to, and obviously it's him it didn't matter what he did out there he would eventually get moved up.

I'm not saying the QBs shouldn't show up, but it's one of the most worthless from an evaluation standpoint.

Newton was mid to late first before that. The week after that, boom top top. Suddenly teams start saying he's their #1 prospect..I think it's all the workout. It's the timeline man. Hell, even Pat White a few years ago boosted his stock at the combine. I have no doubt it will have an affect on Locker, Kaep and Mallett. Even Dalton. If he shows up with a stronger arm than though, he'll rise.

Newton was considered the #1 QB by most people, maybe #2 behind Gabbert and most had them both in the top 10.

The Combine does matter for QBs.

Hell, Tim Tebow didn't even throw at the combine last year and boosted his stock to 1st on interviews and working out alone.

Purdue DE Ryan Kerrigan, a top pass rusher in this year's draft, said he measured 6-foot-0 3/7 and 267 pounds.

Dude, it's a typo. It's gotta be. Everywhere else says 6'4, for Combine height.

Yeah, he measured at 6'4.

Something interesting - Dareus weighed in at 319 - almost 30 pounds heavier than what Nick Fairley weighed in as (291).

That's 13 pounds heavier than Dareus was listed.
Fairley was lighter by 7.

Shane Vereen of Cal (RB) did 31 reps in the bench press... 10 more than Nate Solder. Not comparing, just saying.
