UFC 116: Lesnar vs. Carwin

CARD NOTES:
- Cheick Kongo vs. Roy Nelson pulled from card due to back injury sustained by Kongo. Kongo sidelined indefinitely, Nelson will face Junior dos Santos at UFC 117.
- Alessio Sakara vs. Nate Marquardt pulled from card due to death of Sakara's father.
- Jacob Volkmann vs. Paul Kelly pulled from card due to visa issues of Kelly.
- Steve Cantwell pulled from card due to unknown reasons.
- Julio Paulino withdrew from fight against Daniel Roberts.
- Wanderlei Silva forced off card due to injury.
- Kendall Grove vs. Goran Reljic was pulled from Spike TV card, following Grove's criticism of Spike TV network and the Ultimate Fighter reality show.

Dallas' warped tour is that day, but hopefully I can get out early enough to go and catch this.

Definitely going to try and catch the Lesnar fight on a stream somewhere.

This card turned into a disaster with all the injuries and other changes to bouts. Carwin vs. Lesnar will still pull down a ton of buys though. I won't dish out any cash for 1 fight but I'll watch online.

I still think I am going to have some people over for this. As long as everyone chips in, I have no problem ordering this.

I hope so. It's going to be exciting to see how he comes back from that scary illness.

I'm only looking forward to the Carwin vs Lesnar fight. Stupid Vanderlei and Congo had to get injured.

I still wonder if Lesnar has fully comeback from his illness and is prepared for this fight.

Lesnar's illness is a thing of the past. "Ring rust" is something to worry about with a lot of fighters (ahem, Rampage) but I think Brock is good to go.

Yeah that Rampage fight pissed me off so much. But it was worth it, A-Team was great . I heard Lesnar has been training with some real good guys to get ready for the fight so we shall see.

Lesnar is a really scary dude, that guy is a tank. Too bad he's a jerk.... but maybe thats what the UFC needs, a villain to get thr fans into it and against him.

carwin is the exact same size, but hes more muscle/lean and less girth. and thats something brock never faced, other than an never in shape heath herring..

Carwin has a shot... He just has to land that punch on his chin that every UFC fan wants to see. Brock hasn't been tested yet, really, I personally don't think he can take a punch. With that being said, if Carwin lets Brock smother him and ground and pound it should be a fast fight.

carwin is good enough to not let that happen, and like i said, his size could be an issue for brock.

Yeah Lesnar has never really faced anyone as big as he is. He's only had 4 fights in the UFC though. Mir x2, Couture, and Herring. Mir is a big guy, but no where near Lesnar. Lesnar is just a monster.
