We will be starting our 6th annual SI player rankings.

Don't be afraid to share your opinion, whether it's a popular one or not.  We will once again be going 10 spots deep at all 5 positions.

Please remember these two things, please vote on the polls and vote for the best player, don't be a homer.  Most of the polls will be open 24 hours, but if the first place vote getter gets 5 or more votes than the second vote getter than I will close the thread if I'm around.

Remember, this is based on who is currently the best player, not who has the potential to be the best.  Who would you take today?

More than 5 votes would be nice.

But really I've never liked Horford and think Drummond is better than the rest of the list

literally how? among horford, whiteside, jordan, and drummond, drumm is the worst shot blocker and BY FAR the worst at the line. he's also the worst shooter of the group, slightly behind deandre

he's a good rebounder and scores a lot considering how often he shoots, but he's the worst among those four imo

his rebounding gets us a lot if second looks. hes better than dj and id take him over hassan too. i voted for horford because he helps his team more than anyone else at this point.

I voted for Andre because I feel replacing anyone on that list with Andre last season and the Pistons probably miss the playoffs. His impact on our games is MUCH bigger than any of your raw numbers are going to calculate, and you'd have to of watched all 86 Pistons games this season to realize that. So unless you did that as well, I don't really care what your opinion on the matter is, I'm going Andre here and will continue to do so until he is off the board.

Even if that was true, that's one team, a team that is built around him.

I don't think you could tell me with a straight face that if you were building a team from scratch with the intention of winning you would take Drummond over Horford. And if you could, you would be violating your own request of people not being homers.

I'd take Andre over Whiteside, but not by much.

Whiteside is such a headcase. You have to worry about how often his motor will run cold, where his head is, etc. I think when he's engaged he's a better player than Drummond. Who, while I think is very very good, is a little overrated.
