We will be starting our 6th annual SI player rankings.

Don't be afraid to share your opinion, whether it's a popular one or not.  We will once again be going 10 spots deep at all 5 positions.

Please remember these two things, please vote on the polls and vote for the best player, don't be a homer.  Most of the polls will be open 24 hours, but if the first place vote getter gets 5 or more votes than the second vote getter than I will close the thread if I'm around.

Remember, this is based on who is currently the best player, not who has the potential to be the best.  Who would you take today?

Call me crazy but if I was legit building a team of guys I'd have to be around on a daily basis, I'd go KAT probably.

DeMarcus is clearly the most talented right now, but the things that you don't see in the ESPN box score are so troubling.

Drummond over Marc Gasol is one of the grossest opinions I've ever heard :p

I can't believe this blind Boogie love though. You can't tell me if you need to win a game tomorrow, that he's the center you want. Especially given the locker room effects. He might be the most talented offensive center, but there's far more to it than that.

I say this sarcastically, but we all know offense is the only thing that matters.

I agree with you 100% though. I mean we are talking about a guy who is so lazy on the defensive end that he will spend possessions where he doesn't even get to that side of the court.

Me either. Based on pure talent he's #1, but like I alluded to above, if we are talking about building around a guy like DeMarcus Cousins, how can you justify putting him #1? He's toxic.

Honestly, it's up to personal preference, but I would ask what do you want in your center? For me, again personal preference, he probably wouldn't even be top 5.
