We will be starting our 6th annual SI player rankings.

Don't be afraid to share your opinion, whether it's a popular one or not.  We will once again be going 10 spots deep at all 5 positions.

Please remember these two things, please vote on the polls and vote for the best player, don't be a homer.  Most of the polls will be open 24 hours, but if the first place vote getter gets 5 or more votes than the second vote getter than I will close the thread if I'm around.

Remember, this is based on who is currently the best player, not who has the potential to be the best.  Who would you take today?

2016 SI SF Rankings

Just kind of curious, did Tobias do anything in particular to move from #8 last year to probably off the list this year? Cause out of this list, I'd probably take only Wiggins over him.

I'll go Parsons. Not a fan of the current player Wiggins is.

His numbers were down and he got passed by other players

I think it's similar to the reason Rudy seems to have dropped off, neither guy should have been voted where they were last season and you're kind of seeing a correction in that this year.

I could agree with that. But while I think Parsons is better, I think there are also guys that are more reliable than Parsons that is still better than Wiggins. I just think people look at Wiggins and see his PPG and think he's better than he actually is.

He's going to be an excellent player in this league, but he's got lots to work on before he's a top 10 player in the league at his position. I mean I wouldn't be surprised if next year I'm had a complete 180 on Wiggins, but right now I would even take a guy like Tobias Harris over him, and I think Harris is pretty meh.

I think he's definitely below parsons on offense, but he does solidly there and is definitely the best defender on this list outside crowder (who's offense isnt good enough for the top 10)

thats my reasoning.

i think ive said this. he holds name value right now and has explosive dunks. i dont like his form too much and hes a bit too streaky but i know he'll play more for the wolves than parsons and im thinking hes ready to turn that corner.

He's an underwhelming wing defender, it's evident when you watch him or when you look up his advanced numbers. Parsons is a better all around defender than he is, again, right now.

Parsons has to fall victim to two recent knee injuries. I think that, when healthy, he's better than Wiggins currently, but missing significant time, and the playoffs, over these past 2 seasons must force us to ask which player is better in the every night sense, and between two players who are very close, I'm taking the one I trust will be available to play.

And you all know how big of a Parsons fan I am. I think he makes Memphis significantly better if they stay relatively healthy.
