1. Drew Brees

My vote is going to Matt Ryan. He's great with the support that all QBs need. When guys like him and Drew Brees can't get it done with bad defenses and/or suspect running games and offensive lines, it just goes to show how much of a team sport football is.

Added Brees to the poll. He should be on here. And he's also my vote.

Edit: DIdn't realize it said 2nd best QB. I'm an idiot.

Could argue Ryan for #1 honestly.

With the way Brees has played the last few seasons, I agree.

All the Romo haters out there would be quickly silenced if they saw how mightily both Brees and Ryan have struggled without defenses, run games, and OLs. There is no great quarterback except maybe Aaron Rodgers who is immune to that kind of thing, and Rodgers has never had to deal with all three of those at once like Brees, Ryan, and Romo have over the years.

I think next year we should do 4 polls each division. Kind of weird to just assume somebody is #1.

How necessary is that, though, really? Tom Brady is clearly the best QB in the AFC East. Aaron Rodgers is clearly the best QB in the NFC North. I also happen to think the idea that Matt Ryan is even in the same ballpark as Drew Brees to be funny. I mean, if we do 4 polls, at least 7-8 of them will be completely arbitrary.

Is it necessary for Sal to include 20+ options for NBA #1 SF? No, but we don't just skip that poll and assume it's LeBron.

Actually I hate that he puts that many options. I'll just shut up.

Matt Ryan really doesn't get the credit he deserves.  I've been beating the underrated drum for this guy for the past five years or so.
