Good point. But is he too valuable at that spot to pass up?

Are you kdding?
He'd be a great 3-4 end.
Saw somebody ask the Guys of Rotoworld what they thought of Fairley in a 3-4.

He said "Waste of talent"

Would be the same thing of what happened with Haynesworth when they tried to put him in a 3-4.

Fairley is good value at 11, but not too amazing to pass up... Especially if he doesn't fit your new system at all. Wade Phillips is likely looking for his Demarcus Ware (Quinn), otherwise he'll get an actual 5-technique (don't think they'll go CB for some reason, but Amukamara obviously an option).

Ah, Quinn is gone here - I think it'd be between Jordan/Watt/Smith.

Texans dont even need a DE they need a 3-4 OLB.

Antonio Smith, Jarvis Green
would be the starting DEs.

It'd be Smith.

No questions asked.

I don't think Jarvis Green is a long term solution, and if they don't like Aldon Smith (if Quinn is gone) they most certainly can take Watt or Jordan and fill what I believe to be a big need.

For the record: in my newest mock draft that I'll be doing in a little while, I do have Smith at 11.

Ofcourse Green isn't a long term solution. He has experience in a 3-4 however and they'd draft their DE in a 2nd/3rd round.

I do think they'll go with Smith over a 5 technique, so I agree with you. I was kind of talking about 3-4 DEs because he had them taking Fairley, but yeah.

The Texans wouldn't go with Fairley there. In your Draft, Prince Amukamara is still on the board. Why wouldn't they select him or go with a pure 3-4 OLB pass rushing specialist? Aldon Smith even makes some sense.

Houston has always had major issues with defending the pass. Kareem Jackson was brought in from Alabama last season to hopefully kind of stop the bleeding so to speak, but he's going to take some time. Across from him, there isn't really any clear cut guys for the Texans who I see doing the job. Prince would be a nice talent that Texans would groom and eventually have a pretty nice duo on the perimeter with Kareem and Amukamara.

If Amukamara gets driven out of the top ten -- he isn't going to last too long out of there. He'll be snapped up within 3 picks outside of it, and I personally just don't see Houston messing around and not taking him.

I been liked Kaepernick, but BC must be high. I thought he was good, but after seeing his body control and 80% completion when throwing off of one foot, back pedaling with 2 defenders jumping to a height of 8 feet in front of him with his target being a little bucket on Sports Science. He's capable of becoming a top 5 guy out of this class in a few years

Houston isn't taking Prince, mooche. Wade Phillips will likely want his D-Ware rather than a corner. And I doubt the Texans are in love with the idea of taking CB back to back in the 1st, despite how big of a need CB remains to be.

I agree. I doubt they go CB 2 years in a row. Jackson could still be good too.

Prince could fall to Jacksonville IMO.

If its between Bowers and Prince at 13, Lions could easily take Bowers, which would mean Prince to Jacksonville.

Miami isn't gonna take him, neither would the Rams.

If prince is there at 13 I dont see us passing on him. We need way more help in the secondary than the dline.

Saw a report yesterday that said if Bowers was there, they didn't see the Lions passing up on him.
