We will be starting our 4th annual SI player rankings.  Last year the player rankings generated 388 responses, that's less than 8 responses per thread.  I'm hoping this year we get above 500.  Don't be afraid to share your opinion, whether it's a popular one or not.  We will once again be going 10 spots deep at all 5 positions.

Please remember these two things, please vote on the polls and vote for the best player, don't be a homer.  Most of the polls will be open 24 hours, but if the first place vote getter gets 5 or more votes than the second vote getter than I will close the thread if I'm around.

Remember, this is based on who is currently the best player, not who has the potential to be the best.  Who would you take today?

Personally I know what Tyreke did this year when he wasn't put on the floor with two black holes in Al-Farouq Aminu and Greg Stiemsma. It was so frustrating watching teams not guard those guys. We even played a good amount of minutes with a trio of Al-Farouq Aminu and then any two of Stiemsma/Ajinca/Withey when AD wasn't healthy.

But knowing Reke when he actually played with NBA quality players, I find it incredibly hard to believe that I'm the only one who has voted for him in any round. I mean the truth is in the numbers, with Aminu and Stiemsma on the floor he shot 32% from the field, 0.7 points per shot, etc. With those guys off the court? 45% and 1.1 points per shot, which is good.

20 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists on 50% shooting as a starter.

15 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists on 45% shooting in 27 minutes of action in the games which Ryan Anderson played.

When he played with the kind of guys he was brought in to play with (the kind of guys he should play with in the NBA) he was very good.
