They wouldn't do it unless Kawhi agreed on an extension i'm assuming. But thats a good offer for the Spurs, get an all star back in DeRozan, get a young rising big in Siakam and a first. Thats a pretty good offer. Although I doubt this happens.

not every team believes in tanking

Spurs made the playoffs without kawhi

DeMar is under contract for 2 more years with an option which is lamarcus' window

Siakim and a pick gives them 2 more guaranteed young controllable players

Even if you don't agree with it, from this perspective it isn't a bad trade

And for Toronto I guess they want to sell Kawhi on staying long term. Worth the gamble. Masai could make up for the package should kawhi not stay

Derozan is making 27M a year for 3 more years(def opting in the 3 year)

Hes overpaid
And hes garbage in the playoffs

Well I don't think the Lakers are offering that. And I don't think Philly is offering much either. So Derozan is the best offer as of now.
