No opt-out is crazy. Hopefully him and the city get along.

Aaron Nola, I'm assuming.

Unless nola is secretly a Phillies fan and has taken to talking about himself in the third person.

Awful deal

A fully guaranteed 13 year deal for someone turning 27 who has hit sub .250 in two of the past three years.

Thirteen years ago, 25 year old Justin Morneau won MVP, and he has been retired for 2+ years now. I get why it seemed like teams were colluding against the players, but seeing these lengths on the Machado/Arenado deals makes it show its the players out of line

im pretty sure Mookie is a FA in a year or 2, as is JD
You think JD's gonna opt out? Market isn't friendly to guys over 30 and he'll be what 32 walking away from what 3/62?

I'm sure the Sox will look to lockup Mookie before he hits FA the way the Rockies did with Arenado.
