DUBAI, United Arab Emirates -- AC Milan director Umberto Gandini says the team has no plans to part with striker Ronaldinho "for the moment."

Italian media have speculated that the Brazilian will be moving to one of several interested Brazilian sides in the January transfer window, or to another Serie A club. The speculation intensified after the team signed Italy forward Antonio Cassano from Sampdoria this month.

Gandini says Ronaldinho arrived Monday in Dubai and took part in training before a Jan. 2 exhibition match against a local club.

Gandini said it was the desire of club owner and Italian prime minister Silvio Berlusconi "that [Ronaldinho] will play and stay with Milan for the moment."
It's going to be interesting to see what AC does plan to do with Ronaldinho. I honestly in the end expect that the sides will part their ways, and I hope Cassano gets a shot with AC.

They're not going to keep Ronaldinho. Especially over Cassano. I have a feeling he'll be gone before the window closes or definitely in the summer.

With the addition of Cassano, Ronaldinho will definitely be gone. Like Baggs said, he might not be leaving anytime soon, but he will be gone within the next months. I was real excited when I heard we got Cassano, there is no doubt he will strengthen us up front especially with Ibra, Pato, and Robinho. That is definitely a potent offense, even though having Ibra by himself would be potent. :p

Does Ronaldinho at least occasionally play like he did in La Liga? I can't believe how fast he fell off the radar. Living like a rockstar got the better of him...which seems to happen to every great player that manages to escape Brazil.

He got a big head and got full of himself I truly believe. He didn't show much in 06 on the world state in the World Cup anyways.
