If the Yankees end up with Holliday, how much are they paying 4 players all together. A-Rod, Tex, C.C, and Burnett, than Holliday? That's just unfair, it really is.

No its completely fair, the revenue sharing system will prevent this like years past, wont it?

How is it fair that they get to pay up every single FA, and rebuild in one year, and than teams like the Rays who actually developed their own talent, have to wait like 15 years to compete.

Holliday will probably go to the Yankees, but really, MLB is fine without a salary cap. So many things in baseball can turn wrong, what would happen if CC got hurt for the season etc.

It's okay, let the Yankees have all the players they want. Every year they sign the best free agents but where has that got them the past decade?

Could you imagine if the Yankees didn't have Cody Ransom at the beginning of the year, they might have 100 wins already.

I wonder what will happen when they do actually win a championship. Then what will everyone say.....

They bought it?

To which their response will be, with the utmost respect i'm sure, the tissues are in aisle 4...thus, re-starting the tedious chain of back and forth comments.

watch the Angels make a push since Abreu isn't panning out
sarcasm Jarrod?

Bobby is hitting .305, 12 HR, 84 rbi, even 27 steals

i could maybe see the angels pursuing him if abreu wants too much. might as well spend it on the younger player.

i can also see SF going after him and the Dodgers if Manny opts out but he won't >.<
