i never said he'd be playing CF in san francisco

but if he wants to stay in center, i could see the nats going for him. they need a CF badly
last year towards the end of the season they just started playing werth in center

but then one of hamilton/sizemore would have to play CF full time. idk
then again, their DH slot isn't truly clogged so it would probably work. one of them could DH when Young plays 1st
that's a good fit

i also think he'd be perfect on the cubs or brewers

How about the Rays trade the Indians BJ Upton, and sign Sizemore.

Might be a possibility if he comes cheap and he's willing to play LF full-time. Desmond Jennings is already penciled in as their starting CF and lead-off man and I'd assume Ben-Zo is going to start in RF because Matt Joyce sucks.

C.J. Wilson said in an interview this weekend that there's a "great chance" he returns to the Rangers.
"I like it here and I've won here," the free agent lefty told ScoreboardDaily.com. "I've proved that I can be a good pitcher here." The comments are refreshing, but Wilson is likely to sign with the team that makes him the highest offer. And with the market for starting pitching looking quite thin, it's possible that the Rangers will be outbid.
Looks like the Yankees will have some work to do if they want to avoid another Cliff Lee situation.

The Yankees declined their 2012 option on righty Andrew Brackman, GM Brian Cashman told reporters on a conference call today. The 6'10" 25-year-old righty is now a free agent.

Brackman, 25, made his Major League debut this year with three relief appearances. The Yankees drafted him 30th overall out of North Carolina State in 2007 and signed him to a $4.45MM Major League contract. The Yankees knew at the time that Brackman needed Tommy John surgery. Brackman made it up to Triple-A this year, where he was shifted to the bullpen. He posted a 6.00 ERA, 7.0 K/9, 7.0 BB/9, and 0.9 HR/9 in 96 innings.

I really hope the Tigers go after either Aaron Hill or Kelly Johnson for 2B. I'll be so mad if we go into the season with Santiago-Raburn at 2nd.

Shitty thing is the only decent 3B free agent is Ramirez. Which likely means we are stuck with shit ass Inge another season. Some I better see some sort of fucking trade from Dombrowski.

The Red Sox are expected to explore signing free agent Grady Sizemore as a right field option. Sizemore would not rule out playing a corner outfield position for the first time in his MLB career, said agent Joe Urbon. An incentive-laden contract for Sizemore would likely include a player option, writes Silverman.

you guys see what we're working with in LA?

Ned Colletti is by far the worst GM

4M to Juan Rivera. lmao
the trend continues. have a decent half season and get paid

worked with Belliard, Jay Gibbons, and Rod Barajas

SMFH. get this guy out of here. it's actually been a good thing that mccourt has been broke. he has inadvertently saved ned from himself. giving this guy money is dangerous----Andruw, Pierre, Schmidt, etc

i hope the new owner disposes of him immediately

here's some real news

Mark Cuban offered to buy the Dodgers but the price was too high (1 billion)

"At the right price, I'm interested."

It's just a one year deal
as of now, we have no money

Kemp Ethier and Kershaw are getting raises
plus this, plus Rod Barajas probably signing for 3M, plus Kuroda hopefully signing for around the same price as this past season's 12M

we're going to have no money

Rivera is a bench bat, platoon partner on some nights to give Loney or Ethier a day off
4M for that? cmon. no other team offers him close to that, no wonder he took it immediately

What else is 4 mill going to buy you? Brad Penny? For a platoon guy who hits lefties well, it's not bad.

it's the principal

4M for Rivera? he was shit last year, got cut, had a decent couple weeks with the dodgers to make his line look pretty decent, but the last 3 weeks he was pretty terrible again

Ned did this last year with Barajas too

it's annoying.
Rivera for 1M would have been perfect. not 4M
