For the record, I had the title typed for like 10 minutes, but I was still reading posts on reddit about it.

Awesome. You posted a thread first. You win.
Anyways, interesting to see how things unfolded here. Someone leaked some info about Ken Starr (Baylor president) being canned about a week ago, which to the conspiracy theorist, was a last ditch effort to gauge the public opinion on the move to potentially save Briles' job. As a conspiracy theorist, I tend to believe that to be true, however ridiculously untrue it may be.

Back to mediocrity for Baylor. You knew damn-well it was only a matter of time before the rug was pulled back. You don't emerge as the best program in Texas unless you're doing some kind of shady shit. Its pretty sad some of the better athletes in college football are also the most protected criminals.

Seeing Lane Kiffin's name pop up as a speculative target for Baylor. It would be an interesting fit but I don't think Lane needs to settle for any dumpster fire jobs right now.

Kiffin is a fucking dumpster fire.

No, he's not. Perhaps you haven't been paying attention to the last 2 years of CFB.

I think you've just ignored every other head coaching job he's ever had.
He's fine when he's not running the show.

His only mistake was leaving Tennessee for the dumpster fire that is USC after 1 year. He turned the Vols into a bowl team in one season. Most would've failed immediately following the Pete Carroll era in SoCal.

As a OU fan, love seeing this. From a college football fan standpoint, disappointing to see considering how well Baylor did under Briles once people started to believe in the system.
