It may be a little bit too early to compare but lets do it anyways. To keep it fair since Favre has played much longer who was better in their super bowl seasons?

Statistically it was probably Rodgers if you add in the playoff stats. Favre threw more TD passes, but Rodgers had him beat in every other category.

Both were in pretty similar situations, though. Both had stellar receiving corps, and neither had a reliable running game. I don't think there is a wrong answer here.

I wouldn't consider Favre's receivers stellar though. The best Receiver on that team was Antonio Freeman. In my opinion the receivers this year were far superior to the last time they won a Super bowl.

yeah. And people underestimate how good the receivers for Rodgers are. Jennings, Donald Driver, James Jones, and Jordy Nelson. Two of those guys are #1s on a lot of teams and there are only a few places where Jones or Nelson would be any lower than a 2.

Also, was Brett Favre's D nearly as dominant as the one backing up Rodgers?

Jones or Nelson wouldn't be a #2 on most teams...
