As a few of you know, I'm a North Dakotan, and therefore a huge fan of the 4 time Defending FCS Champion North Dakota State Bison. Well, the Bison just agreed to a major recruiting advantage, and will be playing the Oregon Ducks in 2020. They'll likely get slaughtered, though not as bad as other FCS schools, but this should allow the Bison to continue to get great recruits. They'll also have the added advantage of guys like Kyle Emanual, John Crockett and Carson Wentz going pro, not to mention Marcus Williams, Billy Turner, and Craig Dahl, who has been in the league for quite a few years already.

They should move up to the FBS. I'm sure the MAC or somebody would take them.

Maybe they pull an upset: see Michigan circa 2007

They'd need a larger game day venue, from what I understand, and who would want to lose the Fargo Dome advantage, anyway?

Allows these FCS recruits to showcase their talents on the biggest stage possible.

The game will probably be on Fox Sports West though

Depends on how good NDSU continues to be. Their opening game for this season (@ Montana on Saturday) is on ESPN. They've been getting more coverage as this championships run has continued. Game Day has been there the last 2 seasons and will likely go back again.

FTR, I do agree that they should move to the FBS.

Honestly, I think this is a fairly dumb move by Oregon.

I kind of agree. I mean, Oregon is going to win the football game, but NDSU isn't typical FCS fare, and their style of play is hard nosed and tough and can lead to some injuries. Iowa State lost their best Offensive Lineman against NDSU last year.

Not only that, but NDSU is a legitimate program.   This is an FBS program disguised as an FCS program at this point.  Oregon has nothing to gain and everything to lose here, and they're paying $650k for the privilege.
