We will be starting our 6th annual SI player rankings.

Don't be afraid to share your opinion, whether it's a popular one or not.  We will once again be going 10 spots deep at all 5 positions.

Please remember these two things, please vote on the polls and vote for the best player, don't be a homer.  Most of the polls will be open 24 hours, but if the first place vote getter gets 5 or more votes than the second vote getter than I will close the thread if I'm around.

Remember, this is based on who is currently the best player, not who has the potential to be the best.  Who would you take today?

i think dray does his job better than anyone else could. millsap is a better player but i dont think he could do what day does. if any of that make sense.

its becoming more and more evident that he more than likely can. he has enough skills to adjust.

Other teams dont move the ball the way the warriors do for him to get the assists he gets. His scoring is very average with some great nights. Rebounding and defense excellent tho, so idk, tough to say but imo hes this successful bc of the team the warriors have. I doubt he could put up big numbers as the first or second option and be a top dog of his own team

hes not a player you want as a first option but a player you can easily build around. millsap isnt that.

You don't build around Draymond either

You can fit in Dray easier to any system than you can Millsap most likely, but if you're a team like Brooklyn with basically no talent at all, you'd take Draymond over Millsap? I wouldn't

neither would move that team any further but dray can do more.

Makes a lot of sense, Draymond is clearly incredibly talented but his success in the league also has a lot to do with his teammates. Paul Millsap is the better player though. I'd go as far to say that those who vote Draymond failed to project what one would be on a level playing field.

And yes I know you voted Draymond lol

I think Draymond is more skilled, but I don't think he's more talented.

No way

Draymond can pass well, dribble well, shoot from anywhere, rebound, protect the paint, block shots, and maintain the perimeter. Main thing he can't do is create his own open looks, that he'll drive or shoot the jumpers -- not really much from the post nor creating his own from midrange

Millsap is an excellent scorer at PF and is a huge reason why I'm taking him here, but Dray is definitely more skilled
